PEOPLE in Plymouth can celebrate annual National Storytelling Week at the City Museum and Art Gallery.
Based on the tales of one of the world's most well-known storytellers, 'Tales from Hans Christian Andersen', will take place on Saturday, January 30, at 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
bridal Titanium BraceletProfessional storyteller, David Heathfield, will lead two 45- minute sessions featuring interactive retellings of two of Andersen's newest tales: The Red Shoes - a story originally published in 1845 where a vain girl is made to wear a pair of magical red shoes; and The Nightingale - a fairy tale about a poorly Chinese emperor whose health is restored by the beautiful singing of a nightingale. The sessions are most suited to children aged seven and up although younger children are also welcome. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

"Hans Christian Andersen has written some of the world's
embroidered patches most famous tales. He seemed like the perfect choice for our event which forms part of the UK's annual celebration of storytelling."
Admission to 'Tales from Hans Christian Andersen' is free and there is no need to book in advance.
